Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

This policy explains what information Ron's Tire & Wheel collects, how we use it, who we may share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the information you give us by phone, email or in person at our North Hollywood and Pasadena shops. Our Terms of Use also apply.

1. The Short Version

  • We collect only what we need to talk to you about your vehicle and to serve you.
  • We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We don't use it to market to you about unrelated things without your permission.
  • California residents can ask us what we hold and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.

2. Information We Collect

What you tell us. When you send a service request or contact us, that's your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you write about your vehicle and its symptoms.

Vehicle information. Year, configuration, engine, whether the truck has CTIS, modifications, tire and wheel fitments, VIN or plate details, and photos you send — anything that helps us plan the work and order the right parts.

Service records. The repair orders, estimates, invoices, mileage, and notes from visits to our shops, so the next visit starts from what we already know about your truck.

Payment information. Only what's needed to take payment for work you've approved. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor; we keep a record of the transaction, not your full card number.

Usage information. When you visit the site, basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages and features you use, approximate location derived from your IP, the site that referred you, and the campaign parameters in the link you clicked.

Information from others. Occasionally parts suppliers, prior shops or a prior owner give us history on a vehicle. We treat it under this policy.

We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, sensitive details we don't need for the job — no Social Security numbers, government ID images, or full payment card numbers in a message.

3. How We Use Information

  • To answer your request, quote the work, schedule it and tell you when your truck is ready;
  • To diagnose, service and repair your vehicle, and to order the correct parts and fluids;
  • To prepare estimates and invoices, take payment and handle warranty or follow-up questions;
  • To keep a service history so our advice is based on what's actually been done;
  • To reach you about your vehicle, and — if you ask — about other work the truck needs;
  • To keep our shops and records secure, and to prevent fraud or abuse;
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it;
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, including those of the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.

We don't make decisions about you that are based solely on automated processing, and we don't build profiles of you for unrelated advertising.

4. Who We May Share Information With

  • Our service providers — website hosting, email and phone systems, scheduling, payment processing, analytics and parts sourcing — who act on our instructions and are bound to protect the information;
  • Parts suppliers, manufacturers and distributors, to the extent needed to source and fit components for your vehicle;
  • Another shop or specialist, only where that's needed to complete the work you've authorized;
  • Anyone you tell us to share it with, such as a fleet manager, insurer, or the person who asked us to look at the truck;
  • Law enforcement, courts or regulators, where we're legally required or permitted to respond, or to protect our rights, property or safety;
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, transferred or reorganized.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. We don't disclose personal information for a business purpose other than the ones described here.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

If you're a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:

  • know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you, the sources, the purpose, and who we disclosed it to;
  • correct inaccurate personal information we hold;
  • delete personal information we collected from you, subject to the exceptions in the law;
  • opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising — we don't engage in either, so there's nothing to opt out of;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights — you get the same service and pricing either way.

To make a request, email info@rtwmotoring.com or call (213) 929-8922 and say it's a California privacy request. We'll verify it's you, usually by matching details we already have on file, and we'll respond within 45 days; we may take one additional 45-day extension where the law allows. Requests are free; we can charge a reasonable fee only if a request is clearly excessive or repetitive.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We'll require proof the agent is authorized and may need to verify your identity directly. Where a request concerns a vehicle rather than a person, we'll handle it in the way that protects everyone involved.

In the twelve months before your request we collect the categories listed above: identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or other electronic activity, and professional or employment information where a business is involved. We collect it directly from you, from your use of the site, and from our service providers, for the purposes described above.

6. Cookies, Analytics and Your Preferences

The site stores a small amount of information in your browser to remember your display preference — light or dark mode — so the site looks the way you left it. That setting stays on your device and can be cleared anytime in your browser settings.

Where enabled, analytics and marketing cookies help us see which pages and service requests are working and whether an advertisement brought someone here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works, but your theme preference and some measurement won't persist. We don't currently honor browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no common standard for them, but we don't sell or share data for behavioral advertising regardless.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep what you send us for as long as it's needed for the purposes above: service records and invoices for the periods California law and our tax obligations require, contact details for as long as you remain a customer or ask us to stay in touch, and website usage data for the retention window set by whichever analytics tool is in use. When information is no longer needed, we delete or aggregate it.

8. How We Protect Information

The site is served over HTTPS, access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and we use providers that maintain reasonable safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we ask you to help by not sending unnecessary sensitive details.

9. Children

The site is intended for adults arranging vehicle service. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and we ask that anyone under 18 use the site only with a parent or guardian involved.

10. Other Sites

Links to third-party sites — for example map and directions providers — take you outside this policy. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which you should review.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our operations, tools or the law change. The revised policy is posted here with a new "last updated" date, and using the site after that date means the updated policy applies.
